I’ve thought about trampolines but I’d have to get two or they would fight about who’d be jumping on it. And if the trampoline was big enough, they’d bonk heads and end up with major concussions… One of their cousins also broke his arm jumping on a trampoline so I’m a little reluctant providing toys to could provide a trip to the hospital. At least we’ve got many playgrounds around for them to blow off steam, so I can’t complain.
I see.
Yup, definitely don’t sit down on that sucker … unless one wants to experience splinters at their worst!
Now I feel marginally better about our rickety bench…
it woz me wot broke it….
great picture.
Oh dear, can it be fixed?
sadly it would cost more that the bench is worth to fix it. I have found the same bench for £39 in t’internet….. ;0
Hang on, I’ll go and get the sellotape……
if only!
Probably not a good idea to sit down here…
Is that in your garden?
Yes.
Rustic
It will look great with an ivy growing through it but it will not function as a seat again. Great pic for the challenge.
clever capture!
Lovely plant growing behind it. The bench shows that off quite nicely.
the plant behind is a red stemmed dog wood, which gives lovely red stems in winter, then these variegated leaves in summer
beautiful!
Maybe if I just sit at the edge…and don’t wiggle. Great photo!
I love wooden and iron benches in green gardens. I always want to buy one but I know better with my kids…
… because they’d climb on it?
We’ve had this one about 15 years or so.
Not climbing as much as jumping on it… I’ve seen them at the garden store with those benches. I’ll wait till they get their springy legs off.
Do you have a trampoline? sounds like they’d enjoy that. We have one with a netted surround so they can’t fall off

Visually not so elegant, but mine have had hours of fun!

I can see you are cautious…
We’ve had six cousins at once on this monster and no injuries to date! They loved going on with the spacehoppers too.

Am sure that broken bench witnessed lots of beautiful memory
Yes, over the years, it has
